Sea Kayaking with the Whale of the Saguenay & St. Lawrence Rivers ~ September 17 - 25, 2011

Description: This trip has been so special to so many over the years! We have come to love watching the whales and seals from water level, the grand cliff faces and beaches of the Saguenay, and of course the relaxed town setting of Tadoussac. This is a comfortable vacation full of memories, not a trip of over exertion in paddling. We will be paddling an area of the St Lawrence for a few days that is very popular with Finne and Minke whales, along with the odd seal popping their heads up to see you pass by. We will also head onto the Saguenay River, for the wonderful scenery and in hope to see the Beluga whales. We have chosen mid September to avoid tourist season and to still catch some great whales and paddling weather.

AOTEATOA - Paddling New Zealand! ~ February 13 - March 6, 2011

Description: Harbourfront Adventures is going back to New Zealand after a sold out trip in 2007! This time around, our focus will be to explore the beauty of New Zealand the best way we know how, through paddling. The predominant activity will be kayaking which will allow us to see all the best this country has to offer from the perspective of its majestic waters that surround and inhabit the country. We will also exercise our legs by venturing on what some consider the single best day-hike in this world. Not to be outdone. We will also spend a morning swimming with dusky dolphins in their natural environment. Lodging will be mainly cabins and a few days camping depending on our location. Typically, participants will share a room with another participant and have their own bed. A typical paddling day will be 5-6 hours with a lunch break and rest stops along the way.
